# Retail POS software with inventory and barcodes

## Licenses

Prices before taxes, for one register. A license lasts its length (1 week, 1 month or 1 year) from its purchase and can be moved from one register to another.

## Why Retail
### Stock you can explain
Nothing overwrites stock: every movement is dated and kept. Stock is their sum, so you always know where a number comes from.
### Bulk without a calculator
Prices per kilogram, pound or liter, decimal quantities. The scale label is read at the scan and its printed price is reproduced to the cent.
### Expiry dates under control
Lots and dates are entered at receiving. One page lists the lots still in stock, most urgent first, and writes off what remains of a lot.
### All your barcodes
Retail, case, scale or supplier code: one item carries several, and the scanner recognizes them all.
### The last units sell only once
Tick "limited quantity" on an item: its stock is held on the server as soon as it is added to a cart, like a seat at a show.
### Supplier orders
Purchase orders sent then received, with lots and dates; a supplier case breaks down into units at receiving.

## What you get
- Inventory ledger per warehouse, transfers between warehouses (refused when the source warehouse holds too little).
- Suppliers and purchase orders: send, receive, cancel.
- Several barcodes per item; the primary code stays current on its own.
- Scale label format set in the Admin (prefix, item code, weight or price).
- Sales by weight and volume, decimal quantities through to the invoice.
- Expiring lots page, a lot written off in one step.
- Shelf labels with price (per kilogram for bulk) and an EAN-13 or Code 39 barcode; reprint only the prices changed since a given day.
- Item tiles with image and colors, and optional photo clean-up by the local AI.
**Planned:** variants (size, color), physical counts with variances, low-stock alerts.

## Questions about Retail

### Can I sell when the server cannot be reached?
Yes. The register sells from its local copy and sends its sales when the server comes back. Stock is only guaranteed online: offline, a sale can make stock negative, and it shows as such.

### Do I need a specific scale?
No. Your scale prints an EAN-13 barcode label. Its layout depends on the manufacturer: you set it once in the Admin.

### Are size and color variants supported?
Not as a single item yet. Create one item per size or color; the Clone button copies an item and its prices in one click.

### What does the register do with an unknown code?
The cashier searches the item by name, or sells a miscellaneous item at an open price if your register has one.

### Which length should I choose?
One month for a seasonal shop or the holidays, one year for a store open all year.
