# POS software modules and pricing

> Eight modules for your StillDeep point of sale, rented by the week, month or year: ticketing, retail, rentals, appointments and more. Prices in CAD.

## Licenses

Prices before taxes, for one register. A license lasts its length (1 week, 1 month or 1 year) from its purchase and can be moved from one register to another.

## How it works
### Buy your modules
Choose the modules and their length. After payment, your licenses wait in your account: one license opens one module on one register.

### Create your registers
Name each register in your account. A short code tells two registers with the same name apart, and an identification code ties each register to its computer.

### Assign each license
Give each license to the register that needs it. A register changes roles? Remove the license and assign it to another one: its dates do not move.

## Admin and Reports included

Admin and Reports are not modules. Every account that holds or has held a license gets them, and your data stays on your business's own server.
### Admin
Catalog, taxes, employees and roles, registers, payment methods, printers and extensions, on your local network.
### Reports
Sales by day and period, shifts, taxes, top products, inventory, employees and a transaction audit, with PDF and Excel export. On the local network and, if you choose, on the Internet.

Every module runs on the same sales engine:

- Offline selling, with the outbox sent first when the server comes back.
- Canadian sales taxes (GST, QST, HST), in French and English.
- The gRPC contract to build your own screen.
- Version 1 updates, never a breaking change.

## Frequently asked questions

### Do I need a license for the register itself?
No. You only pay for modules. Admin and Reports come with your account.

### Is my card charged today?
No. Online payment opens in January 2027: nothing can be paid on the site yet. Once it opens, the site starts in test mode, where no card is charged.

### Do prices include taxes?
No. Prices are shown before taxes, for one register. GST and QST, or HST, are added at checkout.

### Which length should I choose?
One week for an event, a festival or a trial run. One month for a short season or a peak month. One year for year-round operations. Each module page suggests a length for its trade.

### When does my license start?
On the day of the purchase, for the length you chose. Assigning it to a register, removing it or moving it does not change its dates.

### Do two licenses for the same module on one register add up?
No. The register has the module until the later of the two end dates. To extend, buy the new license close to the end of the current one.

### What happens when a license ends?
The register stops selling that module's items. Your past sales, data and reports stay. A license does not renew by itself.

### Does my register keep its modules offline?
Yes. An offline register keeps its last activation until the licenses it carries end.

### Can I move a license to another register?
Yes, from your account: remove it from its register, then assign it to another one. If that register was identified, the license waits for it to confirm the removal. Your register is out of service? Write to us: our team can free the license.
